Katlyn Alo is a news applications fellow at ProPublica Illinois. She recently graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s in communication and a master’s from the journalism program. Katlyn is a proud Samoan American who is interested in covering, among other things, wellness disparities in minority communities, criminal justice and rare diseases. Katlyn comes to ProPublica Illinois as a part of the Stanford Rebele Internship program.
